Name and shame

在資訊爆炸、重視透明度的年代，做了壞事，很容易被網民人肉搜尋出來，然後公開指摘。

「公開指摘」英文可以用denounce（譴責）、publicly criticize（公開批評）等等。例句：The councillor's anti-feminist remarks were denounced in the newspapers.（該議員的反女權主義言論在報紙上受到譴責。）Several kindergartens have been publicly criticized for overcharging tuition fees.（幾所幼稚園被公開批評濫收學費。）

此外，可以用新詞name and shame，即是公開點名（name）以羞辱（shame），利用公眾輿論壓力使某人不再重複犯錯。Name and shame通常用作動詞。例句：They started a campaign to name and shame convicted child sex offenders.（他們發起運動，點名指摘被定罪的兒童性侵犯者。）The report names and shames companies that are not actively paying back society through social responsibility initiatives.（該報告公開指摘那些公司未盡力透過社會責任行動回饋社會。）
